Initial Lessons from CDD’s Field Experience
The Centre for Democracy and Human Rights (CDD) welcomes you to the launch event of the report “Governance, Local Development and the Political Economy of Artisanal Mining in Mozambique.”
Based on empirical data and lessons learned from CDD’s field interventions, with Cabo Delgado Province as the central case study and drawing on comparative experiences from other provinces, the report presents practical recommendations for a more just, effective, and territorially informed governance of artisanal mining in Mozambique.
The event aims to publicly present and discuss the main findings and recommendations of the report, fostering constructive dialogue among the State, private sector actors, civil society, and local communities.
