CDD, in partnership with the Geneva Centre for Security Sector Governance (DCAF) and the International Code of Conduct Association (ICoCA), welcomes you to the Conference on Private Security in Mozambique.
This conference aims to create a space for multisectoral dialogue that brings together the government, private security companies, their clients, civil society, and the international community to discuss the challenges and priorities in the governance of the private security sector in Mozambique. It also aims to support the strengthening of the legal and regulatory framework and oversight mechanisms, bringing the country into line with international standards such as the Voluntary Principles and the International Code of Conduct for Private Security Service Providers.
The contributions gathered at the meeting, together with previous consultations, will serve as a basis for formulating practical recommendations and outlining a national roadmap on the governance of the private security sector within the framework of the National Action Plan on the Voluntary Principles on Security and Human Rights.
