ACCOUNTABILITY AND CITIZEN ENGAGEMENT IN NATURAL RESOURCE GOVERNANCE IN MOZAMBIQUE:
Capacity and Agency for Social Justice Leaders and Citizens in Natural Resource Governance in Cabo Delgado
The Center for Democracy and Development (CDD) welcomes you to the conference on “Accountability and Citizen Engagement in Natural Resource Governance in Mozambique: Capacity and Agency for Social Justice Leaders and Citizens in Natural Resource Governance in Cabo Delgado”, to be held on Wednesday, 23rd November 2022, at Pemba Express Hotel, Cabo Delgado.
The event takes place as part of the ongoing movement on beneficial ownership transparency started in Maputo and the advocacy for the appropriate extractive industry revenue-sharing mechanisms for the integration of producing regions into the local development agenda, recently promoted in Tete province.
This initiative falls within CDD efforts, supported by the Ford Foundation, in strengthening positive links between extractive industries and socio-economic development in Mozambique. The event is held in partnership with the Centre for Research on Multinational Corporations (SOMO) and the Tax Justice Network Africa (TJNA).
